Proper care of cultivated plants is a whole complex of activities. Speaking about strawberries, the harvest of which is about to be collected by summer residents, special attention should be paid to fertilizing.
This is why it is so important to fertilize the garden bed after harvesting.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh said that fertilizing after fruiting is no less important than in the spring.
It is no secret that the soil under strawberries quickly gets tired and therefore the berry bush is moved to another place every 3-4 years.
But this is not the only thing. Fertilizing in midsummer, not just before and after flowering, but also during the fruiting period stimulates the development of bushes.
Thanks to timely additions, next year it will be possible to harvest a crop no worse than this year.
How to feed strawberries
Summer residents are advised to opt for organic fertilizers.
Of these, the most useful at this time will be manure-based fertilizer.
How to cook
You need to fill a ten-liter bucket 1/4 full with fresh liquid manure.
The remaining volume of the container is filled with water and the mixture is left to infuse for 3 days.
The concentrate must be diluted with water in a ratio of 1:5.
The prepared fertilizer is used for watering at the rate of 1 liter per bush.
