As is known, almost any organic matter on a summer cottage plot can be put to good use.

Potato peelings are no exception: many summer residents send them straight under currant bushes. Let's figure out whether the game is worth the candle.

To feed currants, the peel left after peeling potato tubers must be dried, so savvy gardeners stock up on valuable balanced fertilizer throughout the winter.

With the arrival of spring, they carefully dig furrows around the perimeter of the bushes, after which they put the dried peelings there.

Cover it all with soil on top. You can add compost, and then be sure to water it with water with EM preparation added to it.

During the season, potato peels should be added 3-4 more times, thanks to which the soil will not only be filled with useful elements, but will also become loose and airy.

After flowering, currant bushes should be fed with potato infusion. To prepare it, you will need to fill a bucket one-third with peels. You can add chopped grass and crackers, after which everything should be filled with water and infused for 2 weeks under a closed lid.

Do not forget to stir the contents of the container daily, and before watering, dilute with water in a ratio of 1 to 10.

In autumn, it is worth repeating the fertilizing with peelings. This time, you can use fresh ones, since they are guaranteed not to sprout.
