Sometimes, just one little thing is missing for peonies to bloom.
Spectacular, lush and fragrant "caps" have made peonies popular among gardeners.
But sometimes the bushes are in no hurry to please with weighty buds. If this happens, then perhaps the plants do not have enough moisture.
Peonies and watering
During the budding period, the bushes need abundant watering. It is important not to forget to do this during the period of renewal buds. Watering is always carried out in dry, hot weather.
Subtleties of watering
There are some nuances in this matter. For example, the plant is watered in the circular zone of the peony, at a distance of 20-40 cm from the stems. The older the peony, the larger the circle for moistening the soil.
Gardeners dig a circular groove around the bush, ≈8-10 cm deep, into which they pour water. 3-4 buckets of water are used for one adult plant.
Summer residents do not spray during the budding and flowering period. There are 2 reasons for this:
1. The appearance of the flowers deteriorates.
2. The risk of gray mold increases.
