It is difficult to imagine a decent harvest of anything, including cucumbers, without the use of fertilizers and dressings.

When planting cucumbers, you can add both organic and mineral fertilizers to the holes, says Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication BelNovosti, an agronomist, and a landscape designer.

Organic farming advocates have an impressive choice – rotted leaves, manure, bird droppings and even fish.

Yes, yes, you are not imagining things - some gardeners, without a second thought, throw a small fish into each hole, which results in cucumbers bearing fruit magnificently.

But this method also has its drawbacks, which is why some farmers prefer classic minerals when planting cucumbers.

These include nitroammophoska with microelements, a teaspoon of which should be filled into each hole made in the ground.

Complex mixtures have a similar effect - in exactly the same quantity - 1 teaspoon.

Please note: after the nutrient mixture is inside the hole, it should be mixed with the soil - this will protect the plant roots from the risk of getting burned.
