If the plot has been unattended for some time, then it is too early to dream of a big harvest right away.
Quite often, summer residents buy abandoned plots of land in pursuit of an acceptable price.
If such a dacha has only had weeds growing in recent years, then there is a lot of work to be done. However, the result is worth it, because everyone dreams of eating fruits and vegetables from their own plot.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist and author of the blog Conscious Gardening Anastasia Kovrizhnykh warned that it is not worth planting pears, apple trees, plums, cucumbers or tomatoes right away.
Where to start
It should be noted that such soil is a storehouse of nutrients. But in order to use it to the fullest extent, it is necessary to get rid of weeds.
First, you need to remove everything that is on top, and then dig or plow. Next, you need to assess the depth of the fertile layer.
If conditions allow, you can plant potatoes. Or there is a second option - keep them "fallow", i.e. let the soil rest.
In the second case, after digging (plowing), nothing is planted on the plot, leaving it unoccupied for the entire summer. Additionally, organic fertilizers can be added. As a result, the land will again become suitable for obtaining high yields.
