One day, summer residents are faced with the fact that they have to share their crop areas not only with insect pests, but also with ants.
These hard workers can hardly be called pests, but only until they appear in the beds. And even in this case, it is better not to use chemicals.
It doesn’t matter whether the ants have built a classic anthill in the garden or a whole colony has settled in the soil, it is recommended to use one available spice against them.
Experienced gardeners in this case go for cinnamon. You can use ground or use a cinnamon stick.
How to proceed
You will need one cinnamon stick and a liter of water.
Add cinnamon and bring the water to a boil, then cook for 5-7 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and leave the broth for several hours until it cools to room temperature.
If necessary, strain the finished infusion and pour it into a spray bottle and use it to spray problem areas.
But if you don’t have time to mess around with decoctions, it’s easier to take ground cinnamon and sprinkle it on the ant colony.
After this harmless treatment, insects will leave the area forever and the hated aphids will not appear.
