Watering
Honeysuckle loves moisture and tolerates drought worse. It is especially important not to leave the bushes without water before and during flowering. For a young bush, use 2-3 buckets, and for an adult - 4-5 buckets.
Top dressing
At the end of April or the beginning of May, the second feeding is applied to honeysuckle.
The plant loves organic matter. For example, you can add chicken manure - 0.5 l per 10 l of water. Biohumus is suitable - 250 ml per 10 l of water.
In anticipation of flowering, experienced gardeners use complex compositions that contain all macro- and microelements.
Some summer residents prepare their own fertilizer: 10 g of urea, 15 g of potassium sulfate and 15 g of superphosphate.
Mulching
It is important to protect honeysuckle roots from sunlight. Mulch creates an optimal microclimate in the root zone, thanks to which honeysuckle bears fruit abundantly.
Secret feeding
Before flowering, some gardeners spray honeysuckle with boric and succinic acid. It is preferable to apply fertilizer to the leaves, since it begins to "work" faster.
For 10 liters of water use 1 g of boric acid and 10 tablets of succinic acid.
