Any summer resident who has gooseberries growing on his plot would not mind enjoying large and tasty berries every year.
And in order for there to be a lot of them (berries), the bush should be fed.
According to gardeners who “treated” their plantings with this fertilizer, the gooseberry literally covered them with berries.
What is this miracle cure? We are talking about calcium nitrate, which contains both nitrogen, which is an important nutrient, and calcium, which is responsible for the absorption of that very nitrogen.
And calcium itself is part of the substances without which some plants, including gooseberries, will not be able to please with their yield.
To feed gooseberries, you will need to add 1 teaspoon of fertilizer under the bush, distributing it evenly.
A layer of mulch should be laid on top. Humus is suitable as a mulching material.
You can apply this fertilizer now, while the soil is still damp enough. There is no need to dilute the saltpeter with water.
