Getting sweet root vegetables is quite easy. To do this, you need to know one trick that experienced gardeners use when watering beet beds.
We are talking about the so-called salt irrigation.
The procedure should not be carried out immediately, but only when the tops begin to turn red.
The solution is prepared quite simply. For one bucket of warm water you should take two teaspoons of coarse rock salt. This amount of solution is enough to water one square meter of the garden bed.
If you want to carry out preventive treatments, then the amount of salt should be reduced by half.
If the salt is fine, then it is advisable to reduce its quantity by 2-3 times.
It is very important not to overdo it with salt water. Otherwise, there is a risk of seriously damaging the soil, and it may take several years to restore.
The procedure can be repeated three times per season.
