In addition to purchased fertilizers, you can also use homemade mixtures to feed eggplants growing in your garden.
The most common ingredients for creating nutritional formulations are ash, iodine and yeast.
But first things first. To prepare yeast feed, you will need to mix a pack of wet yeast and 12 g of sugar in a liter of warm water.
After 2-4 hours, the mixture should be diluted with water in a ratio of 1 to 10. This type of feeding should be used only once per season.
If you have ash at your disposal, dissolve 300 g of wood burning residue in a bucket of water, and after a day the strained infusion can be used for watering.
It is even easier to feed eggplants with iodine - just add 1-2 drops of iodine to 3 liters of water. The solution is used for watering under the root.
Finally, the nutrients needed for the growth and development of eggplants can be obtained from banana peels.
For 2-3 banana peels you will need 3 liters of boiling water. The fertilizer should be infused for several days, then filtered and, as in the previous cases, watered.
