Ready seedlings
The method using ready-made seedlings is the easiest, but unfortunately not the cheapest option, allowing you to get a lilac bush of the desired variety.
Please note that when purchasing seedlings, you should go to a garden center or nursery where products from trusted manufacturers are presented.
Choose specimens with a closed root system - this way you will be able to plant lilacs throughout the warm season, from spring to autumn.
Root suckers
The method is also not complicated and, moreover, is absolutely free.
Instead of throwing away the shoots, in early spring or early fall, select the most powerful and developed seedling that grows under the mother plant.
Cuttings
For rooting, you can use not only green, but also lignified parts of shoots. Green cuttings are cut during the flowering period, while lignified shoots are harvested in autumn or winter.
