Many gardeners grow carrots, because they are a valuable source of nutrients and an important ingredient for many dishes.
However, not all gardeners know that watering root crops with salt water significantly improves their growth and yield.
When to water carrots with salt
This is done during the period when the plant is growing poorly, is withering and it seems that the harvest will not be very good. Salt water contains nutrients that carrots need for proper and rapid growth.
Feeding carrots with salt
Salt water performs two functions in this case. It is both watering the carrots and feeding them.
For 10 liters of water use 1 tbsp. salt. Mix thoroughly so that the product dissolves, and then water the root vegetables.
Watering with salt water is carried out once every 7-10 days. But it is better to do it so that the liquid does not get on the tops.
