A bountiful harvest of smooth, juicy and crispy cucumbers, not affected by any diseases, is probably the dream of every summer resident.
However, the process of growing cucumbers does not always go as smoothly as we would like.
For example, one of the common problems that gardeners have to deal with quite often is “pointed” cucumbers.
This form may be evidence that the crop is not receiving enough potassium.
You can confirm your guess by looking at the leaves - if they have started to turn yellow and dry out, the problem is most likely a lack of this element.
Fortunately, the problem is quite easy to fix. All you need to do is apply potassium fertilizer to your cucumber beds.
To do this, dissolve 3 tablespoons of potassium nitrate in a 10-liter bucket filled with water.
After the mixture has been thoroughly mixed, it can be used to water the cucumbers. It is best to do this on damp soil.
