Growing large, healthy garlic doesn't have to be a challenge - even if you have little experience in gardening, you can handle the task.

The following tips will help you grow large heads of garlic.

As soon as you notice that the first leaves have emerged from the ground, it is worth adding nitrogen-containing fertilizer.

Most often, summer residents use urea, dissolving a tablespoon of the preparation in 10 liters of water.

This amount of solution is sufficient for an area measuring 1 square meter.

Once the garlic leaves reach a height of 10-15 cm, carefully remove the soil around the bulb and sprinkle it with ash, then cover it with soil again.

The operation should be repeated when arrows appear.

When removing garlic stems, don't rush to get rid of them all - leave a few to use as a cue to signal that it's time to harvest.

As soon as you notice that the wrapper on the heads has begun to split and the bulblets are appearing, you can safely begin harvesting.
