Honeysuckle berries are a source of valuable nutrients for the body, but to get a decent harvest, you need to work a little.
The bush will delight you with a multitude of berries if you feed it in the spring. Thanks to this fertilizer, the fruits will become both tastier and larger.
Spring feeding
As soon as the snow melts, gardeners fertilize the honeysuckle with humus, which is spread near the bush. The consumption rate is 5-7 liters per 1 sq. m.
If the winter was almost snowless, then a liquid infusion of mullein is added. To prepare the fertilizer, mullein is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:6, and then the solution is infused for 12 hours. 15-20 liters of fertilizer are added under one adult bush.
During fruiting
When the first fruits appear on the bushes, the plants are fed with wood ash. 1 glass of unburned remains is diluted in 10 liters of water.
The solution can be used immediately or left for a day, strained and only then applied to the root. The consumption rate for one adult bush is 20 liters.
