Often, flower growers face a problem: due to improper storage, dahlia tubers dry out and become soft.

The main mistake in this situation is to throw away the bulbs. Florists hastily conclude that the planting material has become unusable.

In fact, it is enough to perform a few simple manipulations, after which the tubers can be used again for planting in the garden.

To begin with, any container is filled with peat, sawdust or light soil. The bulbs are placed in the substrate. This is done so that the root collar remains open. Then the tubers are treated with a growth stimulator.

The container with dahlia bulbs is placed on a window, to which a white sheet is attached in order to diffuse the sunlight.

The tubers are watered periodically, without allowing them to become over-watered. Otherwise, the roots will rot and all your efforts will be in vain.
