Saintpaulias, beloved by many, are famous for their capricious nature.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh spoke about mistakes in care that violets cannot tolerate.

Despite the fact that this flower loves moisture, it should never be over-watered.

Due to an excessive amount of water, the plant's leaves become soft and wilted, and you can forget about a rich shade altogether.

Instead of generously pouring water from a watering can directly into the pot, use a tray filled with water to water the Saintpaulia, into which the flowerpots should be placed for no more than 15 minutes.

In addition, the condition of the flower can be affected by an incorrectly sized pot.

To calculate the diameter of a suitable flowerpot for a violet, make sure that it is 2 times smaller than the diameter of the bush itself.

Finally, the poor condition of the foliage is often a result of improper lighting.

So, if there is not enough sunlight, the bush will stretch out, and the leaves will curl outward. If you put the violet under direct sunlight, the leaves will curl inward. But in both cases, they will be pale, soft and drooping.
