Onions are an important crop in a summer cottage. The plant is unpretentious, but at the same time will easily please you with useful fruits that are actively used in cooking.
But in order for the plantings to sprout well, it is necessary to pre-treat the seedlings from pests and diseases.
There are quite a few processing methods. Let's look at some of them.
Soda solution
For a liter of warm water, take only one teaspoon of baking soda. Leave the onions in this solution for half an hour.
A similar procedure can be done using a saline solution. The proportions and soaking time do not change.
Copper sulfate
The rules do not change: take a teaspoon of the preparation per liter of water. The onion sets should be soaked in this solution for 20-30 minutes. The water should also be warm (40-50 degrees).
Complex solution
Salt, potassium permanganate and wood ash together create an excellent product that can also be a growth stimulant for the crop.
It's all very easy to prepare. You need to take wood ash and salt per liter of water. The last two components should be taken in equal parts - one tablespoon each. It is advisable to add a little potassium permanganate to get a rich pink color of the solution.
