For a representative of the pumpkin family, the water regime is of particular importance. Experienced gardeners know that the quality of the harvest depends on the watering of cucumbers.
Many summer residents grow this crop, but not all of them can boast of tasty fruits. Some of them grow bitter cucumbers and they have a rough skin.
The reason is the violation of the watering regime. Thus, cucumbers covered with film are watered with water at room temperature 1-2 times a week before fruiting.
Once every 7-10 days, the soil is moistened when fruiting begins. At the same time, the humidity level in the greenhouse should not be lower than 70%.
You can't overdo it with watering, otherwise the roots may rot. If the weather is rainy and the soil in the garden bed is more moist than required, cucumbers are covered with film.
