The nutritional value of garlic is an order of magnitude higher than that of onions.
The vegetable contains calcium, phosphorus, iodine. Phytoncides are formed in garlic, which have a powerful disinfectant property.
The vegetable is used in cooking, pickles, marinades and sausage production. Garlic can be found in gardens of summer residents. The winter version of cultivation is especially popular.
In spring, there comes a time when garlic needs to be fed to increase the quality of the future harvest. In April, summer residents apply two fertilizers.
At the beginning of April
The emphasis is on the nitrogen component. To do this, prepare a solution: 2 g of urea per 1 liter of settled water. The plant will increase green mass, photosynthesis will improve.
At the end of April
At the end of the second month of spring, green manure is added. But it is prepared in advance. Weeds are collected, the green mass is chopped and poured into a barrel.
The components are poured with water and infused for about 10 days. Then the liquid is filtered and 1 teaspoon of ammonium nitrate is added to every 10 liters of the product. The fertilizer is applied under the root.
