What do smart gardeners use as containers for seedlings: the answer will surprise you

As a rule, wooden boxes are used for growing seedlings.

Such containers have many advantages - wooden boxes can be used more than once, and they can also be equipped with a removable bottom so that the process of planting seedlings is even faster and more accurate.

However, this option also has a significant drawback: you will need free space where you can store the boxes.

In this regard, experienced plant growers resort to trickery, adapting “improvised materials” for growing seedlings: bags left over from milk, kefir, etc.

Long bags are suitable for the "school", which should be pre-cut lengthwise, and the transplanted seedlings can be planted in short bags or long ones, cut to the desired height.

In addition, other used packaging is also suitable for growing seedlings: yoghurt jars, curd jars, and cake containers.

And, of course, where would we be without disposable cups and glasses?

Important: before giving used dishes a second life, rinse them thoroughly and cut holes in the bottom through which water will flow out. It would not hurt to take care of creating a drainage layer of fine expanded clay or sand.
