Despite regular treatment of trees, caterpillars, codling moths, larch moths and other parasites still appear in the garden.
If you are seriously thinking about how to protect your area from pests, a simple to make, but at the same time effective tool will come to your aid – a trap.
To make it, you will need the most common scotch tape and synthetic padding (you can buy it at any fabric or craft store).
All that is required of you is to wrap pieces of synthetic padding around the trunk so that the distance to the ground is approximately 30-40 cm.
Scotch tape is needed to secure the padding polyester - first you will need to glue the padding polyester to the trunk, and then, after a few circles, the adhesive tape should be turned over so that the sticky side is on the outside.
All that remains is to fluff up the edges of the padding polyester, and this needs to be done both from the bottom and from the top to create a beautiful fringe.
This trap will have a double effect.
Thanks to the fluffed synthetic padding, insects will not be able to climb the tree, but if one of the pests does break through, they will instantly stick to the sticky side of the tape.
