If peonies grown with love in the garden upset their owner with a pale appearance and lack of large buds, you should analyze your flower care.

Most often, said the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , the reason for such a phenomenon is mistakes that were made in the process of cultivation due to ignorance.

1. Shadow

Peonies need sunlight to bloom profusely.

Choose a site for placing bushes that is illuminated by the sun for at least 6 hours a day, and it is better if the light falls on the flowerbed in the first half of the day.

2. Poor soil

The soil suitable for growing peonies should have a slightly acidic or close to neutral reaction, and should also be rich in organic matter.

If the soil is poor, do not forget to add wood ash and humus to the hole intended for placing the peony bush.

3. Neighbors

Peonies will only become luxurious if there are no other plants in the immediate vicinity.

This requirement is related to the fact that the root system of these flowers grows a meter to the sides and in depth.
