But the area is limited, so for some flowers there is only one option - partial shade.

Not everyone likes partial shade, but clematis can grow in such conditions. Especially large-flowered varieties of those that bloom on last year's shoots in May and June.

Clematis from the princes group grow and bloom well in partial shade. Bushy clematis, straight and Manchurian, develop and delight with bloom in similar conditions.

Other varieties will only grow well in fully lit areas.

This is especially true for those plants that bloom in the second half of summer. In such conditions, they will surprise with their blooms, but in partial shade they will wither and weaken.

Ideal conditions for clematis: the above-ground part is in the sun, and the trunk circle is covered with a layer of mulch.

The root system can be shaded with various materials. For example, large stones and sawdust provide a practical and at the same time decorative effect.
