Often, summer residents who grow pears are faced with an unpleasant “surprise”.

Pear fruits rot from the inside. There are reasons for this, which an amateur gardener can deal with.

Why do fruits rot?

Often the process is due to the fact that an old variety is grown. However, even in this case, the negative phenomenon can be smoothed out.

This is done with the help of microelement fertilizers during the period of ovary formation, growth and harvest filling.

Often, diseases are found in fruits. Rot penetrates them at the flower stage. The disease hides for a long time, "nests", and then presents the summer resident with an unpleasant "surprise".

What to do

During flowering, the pear is treated with a fungicide. If it is cool outside, use "Horus" or "Priam". If the weather is warm, use "Skor", "Topaz", "Topsin-M", etc.

After this, when the tree has blossomed and ovaries have appeared, fertilizers containing micro- and macroelements are applied to the leaves. Calcium is especially important. Thanks to this macroelement, the skin of the fruit is thicker and less susceptible to rot.
