It is difficult to imagine a vegetable garden where juicy and sweet carrots do not grow.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , there are no special problems in cultivating this root crop, with the exception of difficulties during planting, which arise due to the small size of the seeds.

Many summer residents agree that sowing carrots is indeed inconvenient, and besides, it is definitely worth devoting time to such a procedure as thinning.

Fortunately, there are 3 working ways to get rid of the need to carry out this operation.

1. This option is probably known to everyone - to make the shoots appear less frequently, carrot seeds should be mixed with sand.

2. Another fairly common method is to use planting tapes.

To do this, you will need regular toilet paper, on which you need to apply a paste made from starch and water. Distribute the seeds on the tape at the required interval, then transfer the resulting "construction" to the garden bed and wait for the shoots to sprout.

3. Finally, you can try intercropping carrots with another crop, such as radishes. They grow very quickly and leave behind plenty of space for the root crops to grow and develop.
