If you want to collect large and sweet berries from the currant bushes grown on your plot, you should carefully select the varieties for planting.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh named large-fruited varieties, the berries of which weigh more than 1.5 g.

"Dobrynya"

This variety is considered relatively young, but has already become a favorite among many summer residents, especially those with small plots, due to its compactness and, of course, the weight of the fruit - ripe berries reach a weight of 6.5 g.

One bush can yield 2 kg of berries per season. This may not be much, but their taste is above average.

"Comfort"

The currant variety "Comfort" is a high-yielding and large-fruited variety - the weight of the berries ranges from 1.5 to 3 g.

Other advantages include resistance to cold and many currant diseases.

"Selechenskaya"

Growing this early variety will require some effort, as the bushes require annual care.

However, your efforts will be rewarded with berries that weigh up to 3.3 g, and summer residents describe their taste as excellent.
