Any gardener will be upset to see how the cucumbers they grow become hook-shaped or pear-shaped.
Of course, in such a situation, the gardener should take all possible measures to correct the shape of the fruit.
However, first we need to understand the reasons for what happened.
In the vast majority of cases, the irregular shape of cucumbers indicates a deficiency of one or another microelement in the soil.
The choice of fertilizer depends on which component is missing.
Potassium deficiency
If cucumbers grow crooked, then the plant most likely lacks potassium.
In this case, you need to use ash. Or rather, a solution prepared on its basis.
The soil around the plant should be watered with a liquid created on the basis of unburned wood residues (0.2-0.3 kilograms of dry ash per bucket of water). A liter of the prepared solution should be poured under each cucumber bush.
Nitrogen deficiency
If the cucumbers are not hook-shaped, but are very thick at one end, then the problem is a deficiency of the nitrogen component.
You can save the plant by watering the bed with mullein infusion. The manure should be diluted with water 10 times.
