Summer residents know that slow slugs are not such harmless creatures and that if they are given free rein, they will quickly leave you without a harvest.
During the day these pests sit in the shade, hiding from the rays of the scorching sun, and in the evening they go out to fish. A great opportunity has appeared to catch them all in one night.
Gastropods spend the winter in the ground and can hide there during the day. Targeted daytime searches will probably be fruitless.
It is best to leave a stupefying trap, to which the parasites, starved over the winter, will crawl from all over the area and all that remains is to collect and dispose of them.
Slug bait
Experienced gardeners claim that slugs go crazy over corn flour and pay for this passion with their own lives.
To catch them all at once, take a jar, pour cornmeal into it and leave it overnight in places where pests are likely to appear.
In the morning, all that remains is to throw out the dead parasites and prepare a new portion of the delicacy that is dangerous for slugs.
