The simplest option is to cover the area with a black film that does not allow moisture or sunlight to pass through.
Leave all this until the end of the season, and then simply dig up the soil and remove the roots.
It is difficult to come up with something simpler and safer. But the disadvantage of this method is time. You will have to wait until the weeds die.
It will not be possible to use the soil for good during this time.
Here is a more democratic option.
Take vinegar and table salt from the kitchen, mix them and treat the area where weeds are rampant.
So, for 3 liters of water you will need:
- 5-6 tablespoons of salt;
- 2.5 cups of 15% vinegar.
Mix the ingredients, wait until the salt is completely dissolved and carry out the treatment. It is better to do this in sunny weather.
However, you should not pour this mixture on the beds. The maximum you can do is treat the paths and the perimeter near the fence. Cultivated plants will not grow better from such a solution.
