Fertilizer for thuja
If you need fast growth and lush greenery, then gardeners use ammonium nitrate - 1 tbsp. per 10 liters of water. But before applying, the trunk circle is watered with ordinary water to protect the plant roots from burns.
This fertilizer can be applied only in spring. Western thujas give significant growth during the season – 30 cm.
For meter-long thujas, add 2 buckets of fertilizer, distributing it evenly around the trunk circle.
The fertilizer is also suitable for juniper - 15 g of ammonium nitrate per 1 sq. m. But the fertilizer should be applied during the period when the cold weather has definitely passed and warm days are ahead.
There is a special granulated fertilizer for conifers. It is scattered around the trunk circle and then dug into the soil.
In addition to fertilizing, thuja loves sprinkling and watering. Especially after a hot day. It would not be superfluous to mulch the green beauty with sawdust.
