In spring, of all plants, lilac is the first to bloom profusely, filling the space around it with an amazing aroma.
There is no other obvious benefit from the bush, except for beautiful flowers and the ability to use it as a hedge. But it happens that spring comes, and the lilac does not bloom.

You should not replant lilacs often. It is not a fact that it will bloom within 2-3 years after planting, but this does not mean that the place was chosen incorrectly. Because of the transplant, instead of flowering, the bush has to restore the root system from stress, and not bloom. But you need to remember that the roots need fertile soil and moisture.

It also happens that the location is chosen incorrectly. Lilac grows and blooms normally in partial shade. However, competition for food with spruce, oak, maple and thuja is possible. Also, do not plant the bush next to fruit crops.
