Few flower growers know that with normal care, not only cacti bloom, but even aloe. The plant produces a flower stalk-arrow up to 40 centimeters long or high, and sometimes even several arrows. Small flower brushes of red, white, yellow and orange appear on them.
What You Need to Know About Aloe Bloom
The plant blooms at the age of 3-4 years and can please its owner twice a year. Usually, the flowering period comes in spring or autumn and can last for several months.
But in order for the plant to bloom, you will have to work for a year.
What to do to make aloe bloom
1. In early spring, 2 times a month, feed the flower with specialized liquid fertilizers for succulents.
2. When it gets warmer, the pot can be taken out into the fresh air. First for an hour and gradually increase the time. Important: aloe does not like bright sunlight. In autumn, when the air temperature drops to +15, the plant is taken into the house.
3. Twice a week you need to water the flower with settled water (room temperature).
4. For wintering, aloe is left in a room with an air temperature of 10-12 degrees Celsius. Air humidity should be low, lighting 12-15 hours a day. Watering is carried out once a week, no additional feeding is applied.
5. At the end of February, the plants are returned to a warm room (temperature 22-25 degrees). The previous watering and fertilizing schedule is resumed.
After this, you can expect the appearance of flower stalks and flower brushes on them.
