Raspberries are loved in amateur gardening not only for their excellent taste and high nutritional quality of the berries, but also for their medicinal properties.
But there are obstacles between the summer resident and a luxurious harvest. These are primarily pests and weather conditions.
For example, too hot a summer can reduce the amount of harvest. The sun beats down so much that the bush gets a thermal shock, the berries actually "bake".
Because of this, the yield drops. Some savvy summer residents have found a way out. They throw a net to shade the bushes. It is dense, but with small cells that let air through.
Sometimes gardeners lose part of their raspberry harvest because of birds. In such cases, special nets come to the rescue, thanks to which neither thrushes, nor sparrows, nor crows will taste the fragrant berries.
When the raspberries are protected from adverse weather conditions and birds, it is time to feed the bushes. This will not only save the future harvest, but also increase it at least 2 times. Ash is a simple and universal fertilizer option for raspberries.
100 g of fertilizer is diluted in 10 liters of water. The ash is mixed well, and then the plantings are watered.
You can simply scatter the fertilizer over the raspberry patch – 100 g per 1 square meter, and then carefully work it into the soil.
