There are three basic rules that must be followed before planting seeds to ensure that the seedlings are of good quality.
Rule number one
You need to treat the seeds if they are not from the store and the manufacturer has not indicated that the procedure has already been performed. In this case, they will be blue, red or green. Such sprouts will not get sick.
If the seeds are taken from the plot, then processing is necessary. Special preparations will help with this, for example, "Trichodermin" or "Fitosporin".
Rule two
The seeds can be germinated. But you shouldn't just immerse them in water for a long time, otherwise they will "suffocate".
It is best to take a substrate made of damp cloth or a wet sponge. The material should always be damp. The seeds should be laid out, put into a bag or container and left near the radiator. It is important to ensure that they do not dry out.
The third rule
It is also necessary to approach the preparation of the soil responsibly. The soil should be uniform, loose, and conduct moisture well.
The soil taken from the garden beds will not work.
There are two options: buy soil in a specialized store or improve the composition of ordinary soil taken from the site.
In the second case, you need to add peat or fine compost, which has already been sifted. It is also advisable to add biohumus.
And it is very good to add biohumus. This is a universal fertilizer. For a bucket of soil take 2 liters of biohumus.
As for soil disinfection, you should pay attention not to folk methods, but to purchased products.
