Seed treatment before sowing is aimed at improving the quality of the seed material.

The main goal of seed disinfection is to obtain healthy and strong seedlings.

How to process seeds correctly

Seed treatment can be different: dry and wet. Seeds can be warmed up by placing them in bags on a radiator, under an incandescent lamp (pumpkin and legumes).

The easiest way is to soak the seeds in warm water (no more than 45-50 degrees).

Many people soak seeds in a solution of potassium permanganate, but there is an alternative.

Hydrogen peroxide

To treat planting material, use a 3% peroxide solution, which is heated to 30-35 degrees.

You can process seeds of peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash in this solution for 7 minutes.

Aloe

The juice of the plant is used to treat vegetable seeds.

Aloe has bactericidal properties, is able to affect harmful microflora, and accelerates seed germination.

The cut leaf is placed in a cool place for 6 days, then the juice is squeezed out, diluted with water 1:1, and the seeds are soaked for 24 hours.
