Planting grapes in autumn is not very difficult. But there are some tips that you need to listen to so that the grapes begin to bear fruit in three years.
Rules for planting grape seedlings
Planting should be done in October.
Choose a location near your house or garage facing south.
Plant them in small holes 70-80 centimeters deep.
Mix the top layer of soil with ash and phosphorus and pour it into the hole. Water well and leave for the soil to settle.
When you plant grapes, place the seedlings in water for twelve, or better yet, eighteen hours.
Drive a wooden stick into the hole, plant grapes there, bury it and tie it up.
Mix the soil with small stones on top and pour it into the hole.
Then cover the seedling with a cut bottle and water it well.
Rules for planting cuttings
It is possible to grow grapes from cuttings. In autumn, take healthy, trimmed shoots with developed buds.
In October - early November, plant them in a special area.
Make a small greenhouse in advance. Plant the cuttings so that there is a fifteen centimeter gap between them.
Water them with water at room temperature, and in the spring, when there is no longer frost, open the greenhouse so that the cuttings can breathe air.
