It is difficult to imagine a summer cottage where potatoes are not grown. After all, everyone likes this vegetable and it serves as the basis for preparing a variety of delicious dishes.
But how to make sure that the harvest pleasantly surprises with its quantity? It's simple. Experienced gardeners recommend using fertilizers.
How to feed potatoes?
Chicken manure will do. It saturates plants with useful elements, has a positive effect on the condition of the soil, and improves its fertility.
The product can be applied as a root dressing during potato growing, and can also be incorporated into the soil during digging in the fall. In the first option, it is better to use the fertilizer in liquid form twice or three times per season.
The fertilizer is easy to prepare. 500 g of chicken manure should be diluted in 10 liters of water. Once the solution is thoroughly mixed, it should be left to infuse for about 4-5 days. Before use, strain the product and then dilute it with water in a ratio of 1 to 5.
Before this, the beds must be watered with clean water.
Each adult bush requires 1 liter of fertilizer.
