Can you fertilize plants with cinnamon: benefits or harm

Supporters of folk remedies have long included cinnamon in their arsenal, which supposedly protects plants from diseases.

However, the trick turned out to be not as useful as many gardeners believe.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti , an agronomist and the author of the blog Conscious Gardening Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained why gardeners should not rely too much on this fertilizer.

The specialist pointed out that the spice will not harm the crops, but there is no benefit from it either. The agronomist emphasized that cinnamon does not protect plants from diseases and does not destroy pathogenic microorganisms in the soil.

The expert believes that cinnamon as a plant food is something of a “garden shamanism”.

If we accept the myth about cinnamon, then by the same logic, cucumbers can be watered with brine right in the garden so that they immediately become pickled.

As for pathogenic fungal spores, they are very common in nature. Gardeners should not worry about their plantings. If the plant has a strong immune system, it will resist diseases.
