Experienced gardeners know that certain crops growing near peppers will only benefit the crop, while others, on the contrary, can destroy the plant.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh reminds: you should not plant beets near peppers, as they can take away the necessary moisture.

Potatoes are also a bad option, as the crops are susceptible to similar diseases.

Be careful not to plant tomato beds next to peppers - competition, as a result of which one crop will displace the other, cannot be avoided.

Legumes, which require nitrogen, which peppers cannot tolerate in large quantities, will also be unsuitable neighbors.

In addition, the vines of legumes can break peppers with their powerful vines.

Finally, the placement of different varieties of peppers next to each other was also prohibited, since in this case cross-pollination cannot be avoided.

But radishes, spinach and carrots are quite worthy neighbors. Corn planted on the north side of the pepper will protect the plant from cold winds, and marigolds and daisies growing nearby will scare away pests.
