Most often, indoor plants suffer from the same problem, which is caused by the hyper-care of flower growers.
There are at least three signs that indicate that your anthurium needs urgent help.
It's not just about diseases or pests. Most likely, a mistake was made in the conditions in which the flower is kept.
Sometimes indoor plant lovers surround their "green pets" with excessive care. They water several times a week, constantly loosen the soil, feed, spray, and blow away dust.
As for watering, excessive soil moisture, especially in the case of anthurium, is fraught with negative consequences. Signs of overwatering will be noticeable almost immediately:
- bare stem;
- small leaves;
- many lateral shoots.
These are typical symptoms of anthurium root rot. It is necessary to examine them as soon as possible, remove damaged areas. Cut to healthy areas. If you do not clean them well, the rotting process will continue.
After removing the damaged roots, the anthurium is transplanted into new soil. Do not rush with watering, it is better to wait a few days, and then slightly moisten the soil.
