Bright and spectacular petunia is especially loved by both experienced gardeners and summer residents.
It is impossible to take your eyes off its lush flowers throughout the season. At the same time, the plant is surprisingly unpretentious.
Many people sow petunias for seedlings in February. But gardeners often face a problem: the seedlings sprout either thickly or empty.
Sowing method
This option helps to avoid thinning and ensures the uniform growth of seedlings.
Before sowing, you need to prepare a bowl, a transparent bag, matches (toothpicks). The soil should be well kneaded so that there are no lumps.
The soil is poured into the bowl so that at least 2 cm remains to the top edge. The soil is watered, and then furrows are made.
The first match is inserted into the soil with the head up and a seed is placed next to it. Then they retreat 3 cm and repeat the procedure. All the furrows are filled in this way.
After the procedure is completed, the bowl is placed in a transparent bag. When the first shoots appear, the matches can be removed.
