Darkening of chrysanthemum leaves is one of the problems in the flower garden that should not be ignored.

The sign indicates that the chrysanthemum is about to die, so inaction is not an option.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti , agronomist and author of the blog Conscious Gardening Anastasia Kovrizhnykh named two reasons why chrysanthemum leaves turn black.

According to the specialist, the plant may react this way to overly acidic soil. Or the problem lies in the fungus.

To ensure that chrysanthemums continue to bloom for a long time, you should initially plant the flowers in nutritious soil, fertilized with compost and deoxidized with ash or lime.

Fungicidal treatment (Skor, Topaz) will protect against fungus. Spray once every 14 days, but not less often.

Flowers also need good air circulation. Crowded planting leads to negative consequences, including the development of fungus. There should be a distance of about 30 cm between plants.
