The main mistakes in growing tomato seedlings that every second summer resident makes

By making these mistakes, you can be left without a tomato harvest at all.

Gardeners make such mistakes already at the stage of sowing tomatoes with seeds and as a result get a meager harvest.

The first mistake is the lack of drainage in the containers, which removes excess moisture. If the soil is over-moistened, the seedlings may rot or the seeds planted in the ground will rot and not germinate.

The second mistake is poor quality, acidic and very compacted soil. It is unlikely that anything will grow in it because it does not have enough oxygen. And acidified soil does not have the necessary amount of useful and nutritious substances.

The third mistake is sowing vegetable seeds in too cold soil; its temperature should be at least 17 degrees.

Another big mistake gardeners make is not treating seeds before sowing them in the ground.

Seeds purchased in a store or grown at home must be disinfected in an appropriate solution.

The last mistake is keeping seedlings in a cold room. Place boxes with cassettes and individual containers in a warm place at a temperature of 25 degrees.

It can be a little shaded, but warm. When the first shoots appear, transfer the seedlings to a well-lit windowsill.
