In greenhouses, the soil has to be renewed periodically, because if this is not done, then you can’t really count on a harvest.
The reason for this is the garden crops of the same family, which usually have to be planted in a greenhouse one after another. Here's how to do it without replacing the soil.
Considering that cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers are mainly grown in greenhouse conditions, they will clearly lack potassium, phosphorus and nitrogen, calcium and iron, magnesium and other nutrients. Here's how to fix the situation.
1. Add compost or vermicompost
You can make compost yourself from weeds and other additives. Biohumus will have to be purchased in stores. This is a more complex product, in the production of which earthworms, useful fungi and bacteria are involved. However, if you need to add 10 kg of humus per square meter to the greenhouse, then 3-5 kg of biohumus will be enough for the same area.
2. The next component is ash.
It will replenish the lack of potassium and calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, normalize the acidity of the soil, improve the structure and increase the yield. Consumption of 100-150 grams of ash per square meter.
3. Mineral fertilizers
Ideally, at this time, use complex fertilizers and only according to the instructions.
After the soil in the greenhouse has warmed up to the temperature recommended by the manufacturer, it is necessary to carry out treatment with a biopreparation based on hay bacillus or trichoderma. This will improve the soil and have a positive effect on crop yields.
