Dill is a useful plant and an irreplaceable green in the diet, which is used in cooking and even official medicine.
Gardeners ask themselves: how to sow dill so that it grows beautiful, juicy and tasty? The answer is simple: you need to know the rules for caring for the plant.
How to care for dill
Speed up germination
Any manipulation with seeds will help dill to sprout faster. Even the usual soaking of seeds in water for a day will be useful and will speed up the sprouting process.
The seeds are soaked in boric acid: ½ teaspoon per glass of water for 1 hour. In addition, for soaking you can use tinctures, where there is alcohol, then rinse, dry and sow. Then the shoots will appear much faster.
Soil and place
A bed for dill is chosen on the sunny side, since in the shade its aroma of leaves decreases. Dill will grow well in warm, moderately humid summer conditions. Light partial shade can affect the size of the harvest, the bushes can stretch out.
The main condition for a good harvest is loose fertile soil and a sunny location.
Sow the seed material in shallow furrows, sprinkle with earth or dried compost, humus, sand and water.
