Unique beauty and luxurious aroma are the two main advantages of hyacinths, which ensure their place in the garden.

Compared to other bulbous plants, hyacinths are considered to be quite capricious. You have to try hard to please the flower.

It all starts with choosing the area where the hyacinths will grow. The plants need a sunny spot away from trees and bushes.

Hyacinths do not like proximity to other crops. The flower does not want to share nutrients with other plants.

Special "pillow"

Hyacinths do not like stagnant water in the soil. Therefore, the bulbs are planted in the fall in a "cushion" of sand. In the spring, the hyacinths will wake up early and begin to grow actively.

After flowering

Hyacinths bloom for an average of 2 weeks. After that, the flower stalks are cut off, and the bulb continues to be watered and fed.

After 2 months, the leaves will turn yellow. During this period, the bulbs can be dug up. They are washed and placed in a strong solution of potassium permanganate for 20 minutes. After this, the bulbs are dried and stored in a dark place.
