A harsh winter with severe frosts often results in damage to trees.

An expert of the online publication Belnovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what kind of fertilizers are needed for the affected cherry tree.

Spring is the best time to use fast-acting fertilizers, including ammonium nitrate or nitrophoska.

For a 10-liter bucket filled with water, you will need 1 tablespoon of the preparation.

After the cherry tree has developed leaves, it is time to treat the garden with urea (carbamide). In this case, 30 g of the product will be needed per 10 liters of water.

From August, nitrogen fertilizers are replaced with potassium-phosphorus fertilizers, which can increase the winter hardiness of the tree.

For this, you will need 0.5 cups of superphosphate and the same amount of potassium sulfate, which should be scattered and sealed in the tree trunk circle.

Important: loosening the tree trunk circle and then mulching it will help keep the soil moist and loose.
