If you miss the right moment for fertilization in the spring, you are unlikely to get a bountiful raspberry harvest.
Belnovosti online publication expert, agronomist and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh told what summer residents usually use for the first feeding.
The recognized favorites are organic fertilizers, which are easily digestible and can provide good results.
So, rotted manure is suitable for feeding raspberry bushes.
To prepare a nutrient solution, pour 1 kg of manure into 10 liters of water and mix thoroughly.
One plant will need one liter of the resulting composition.
Alternatively, use chicken manure. For 0.5 kg of manure (or less), you will need 12 liters of water. In this case, a liter of fertilizer will also be enough for each bush.
Finally, you can use compost, having previously diluted 1 kg of the composition in 2 liters of water. As a result, you will get a slurry, an incomplete shovel of which should be spread under each raspberry bush.
