Watermelons are very demanding in terms of watering and fertilizing, especially after planting them in the garden.

Accordingly, having received organic fertilizer, the plant will begin to grow quickly and produce large fruits.

Use organic fertilizer for watermelons, as chemical fertilizer can not only help the plant, but also harm it.

Wood ash or its infusion

This is a very good fertilizer that is used for all garden crops, not just watermelons.

Immediately before planting the seedlings in the ground, add dry wood ash to the planting hole, and use the infusion for all subsequent fertilizing.

To prepare the infusion, take 2 liters of wood ash and ten liters of clean water.

Mix everything thoroughly and leave it to infuse for 24 hours. Then dilute with water in a ratio of 1:10 and water each bush with this liquid. Feed the watermelons with this twice during the season.

Infusion of weeds and nettles

Use this green fertilizer at the initial stage of plant growth, as it contains a lot of nitrogen. To prepare, chop the weeds and fill the container with water to 3/4 of its volume.

To infuse such green fertilizer, take a plastic bucket or a small barrel, because it is not advisable to use an aluminum or iron container for such purposes, since oxidation subsequently occurs in them.

Add some baker's yeast and very old jam to the mixture filled with water.

Some people put crushed egg shells in there. Cover tightly with a lid and leave for 7-15 days to ferment, but stir the mixture constantly.

When ready, dilute the infusion with water in a ratio of 1:10 for root feeding or in a ratio of 1:20 for foliar feeding and water all the bushes with it.

Feeding watermelons with baker's yeast

To prepare yeast dressing for watermelon crops, take 100 grams of live yeast and crumble it into a 3-liter jar.

Then add 100 grams of sugar and pour in 2.5 liters of heated water.

Mix everything thoroughly and place in a warm place to ferment.

After completing the process, dilute the fertilizer with plain water 1 glass per 10 liters of water and water all the bushes with it.

Use this fertilizer to feed watermelons 10 days after green feeding.
